DGFT Digital Signature Certificate in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad and the wider Gujarat region are home to a large exporter and importer base — from Kandla and Mundra port shippers to textile, pharma and chemical exporters. Every filing on the DGFT portal — IEC issuance, IEC modification, licence applications, MEIS/RoDTEP claims — requires a Class 3 Digital Signature Certificate registered against your IEC.

Key highlights

  • Class 3 Organisation DSC issued with DGFT as a declared usage purpose.
  • Correct Extended Key Usage (EKU) attributes so the DGFT portal accepts the certificate.
  • Support with registering the DSC against your Import Export Code (IEC).
  • Compatible with the DGFT portal's emSigner-based signing workflow.

Why some DSCs fail on the DGFT portal

The DGFT portal checks specific Extended Key Usage attributes on the certificate. If a DSC was issued without DGFT declared as a usage purpose, registration on DGFT often fails. When we issue a DSC for Ahmedabad exporters, DGFT is declared upfront so this doesn't happen.

Documents required

In addition to standard KYC for the authorised signatory, DGFT DSCs require organisation documents and the IEC.

  • IEC certificate
  • Company PAN and incorporation documents
  • Authorisation letter naming the DSC holder
  • Authorised signatory KYC (PAN + Aadhaar)

Registering the DSC against your IEC

Once issued, the DSC must be registered under 'Register DSC' on the DGFT portal — using the exact same signatory PAN as the certificate holder. We walk Ahmedabad clients through this remotely on a screen-share session.
